Got bitten by a spider this a.m.!

Nasty little bugger! He was in my son's backpack apparently. I pulled out some of his school work that had been sent home, and it must have been hanging out on those. I was flipping through them, looking at his grades when I felt a sharp pain on my upper arm. Brushed at it instinctively and a brown spider went flying off of me. I trapped it and had a good look, not a brown recluse, THANK GOD, some fat reddish brown spider, doesn't look at all like an immature widow, and thankfully the bite itself is not too bad. That was scary though!!!!!

I am terrified of spiders because so many of them around here resemble the brown recluse. So relieved for you! I hope the bite doesn't get too bad.

3. Yeah, we have a lot of Recluses and Widows around here.

The Widows have been out in force lately, they are really beautiful spiders, but we have 4 little kids, so they make me pretty nervous. I think a bite to a child would be worse than to an adult. *shudder*

5. I got bitten by a brown recluse when I was a teenager.

Didn't know it at the time....and being a stupid 17 year old, I thought it was a mosquito bite gone horribly wrong. :(
