Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 12:26 PM by PeterU
Note they don't have to either look alike or have similar sounding names. They just have to confuse you with one another for some reason.

My two:

Richard Gere and Patrick Swayze. I'm not exactly quite sure, but I think it has something to do with the fact that both really became popular in the 1980s and both are probably best associated with chick flicks despite having a wide variety of roles in their resume. I don't know what it is, but I keep on thinking it was Richard Gere in "Dirty Dancing" and Patrick Swayze in "Pretty Woman."

She's Goldie Hawn's kid or something? Goldie Hawn, there's another one who, for the life of me, I can't figure out why she's famous.

27. A couple of the three-named actresses + another
I confuse Mare Winningham and Mary Stuart Masterson because I think they look alike.

Then I confuse Mary Stuart Masterson with Mary-Louise Parker because of the three names.

I don't confuse Mary-Louise Parker with anyone, because I adore her... it just takes two other actresses to get me up to her name -- I never remember it on its own.

They have the same first name - and while I can't say they're strikingly similar, they look enough like the other for me to have to check the credits to see which Laura she is.
