Christ claims his first victim
Okay, here's the Yahoo article:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ibsys/20040226/lo_kmbc/2024585

Fifty-six-year-old Peggy Law (pictured), collapsed during the first public showing at the Warren Theater in east Wichita. She suffered a heart attack during a climactic scene in the film, KMBC reported.

<a holy SNIP>

Off-duty medical personnel at the theater tried to revive Law, but when she was taken away by an ambulance, she had no pulse. She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

-----------------------------------------------------

I'm reminded of those cheap horror movies put out in the 50s and 60s that had absurd disclaimers saying that you may die during the film due to fright and some even offered a free coffin for those who, ahem, perished during the movie. I can't help thinking that Mel should put a similar disclaimer on his film. Quite a bizarre coincidence, don't you think?

3. William Castle has arisen!
He's the low budget film maker who used to put ambulences outside and offer burial insurance...

Just a warning that God doesn't want you to rattle the jujubes box during His Movie...

5. I believe the press kits that go out to theaters include
a bumper sticker that says "In case of rapture, this projection booth will be unmanned."

9. she worked for Clear Channel & was at movie w/work colleagues!!!
Kansas City Star says:
Peggy Law Scott, 57, was attending a 9:30 a.m. showing of the movie with some co-workers from Clear Channel Radio when she collapsed about 20 minutes before the movie was to end at the east-side Warren Theatre.

(snip)

Scott was the general sales manager for KRZZ and KKRD radio stations.
The showing of the movie was sponsored by sister-station KRBB and
promoted on "The Brett and Tracy Morning Show." Scott was one of several station employees who decided to attend.
