Note to the TV football idiots who think I am an idiot. |
|
I can keep track of downs.
I can tell where the line of scrimmage is. I can even track it when a play is in motion.
I know how to tell how far a team has to go for a first down. I can track that during a play, too.
I even know how to count! For example, if it's second down, the ball is on the 23, and the team has to get to the 30 for a first down, I know that it's second down and seven to go.
I don't need a blue line for the line of scrimmage, nor do I need a yellow line for first down, nor do I need a stupid arrow showing me what's the down and how many yards to go for the first.
God dammit! Knock it off!!

1. I actually like the first down marker. |
|
But the rest of the graphics on the field need to go.

It's pretty amazing the amount of computing that goes into it. http://entertainment.howstuffworks.com/first-down-line.htm
