I think I like them better now, even without Blixa Bargeld, Barry Adamson, and Tracy Pew (wait? When did he die?).

Last time he played here it was out of my price range (I'm spoiled by club shows where the tickets are cheap, I'm right by the stage, and I usually get to talk to the bands before or after the show). I do have the live DVD though, and it's pretty awesome (the included video for "As I Sat Sadly By her Side" is awesome).

How is Bambi Lee Savage as the opener?

Mr. Cave hasn't been in my neck of the woods for over six years, and then not with the whole band, so this will be an event. He's very relaxed and loose onstage, despite the intensity of his music. I prize the memory of his last show here, when he did "The Ship Song" alone on the piano; he screwed up the second verse, muttered "Shit!" and had to start over. It was hilarious.
