Just when you start to lose your faith in humans...I got the nicest compliment today!! |
|
I was standing in the checkout line at Home Depot, and I pulled out my credit card to pay for my purchase.
This nice young man behind me said "Excuse me sir, but I can't help but notice the stunning design on your credit card...can I have a closer look"?
"Of course you can I said!" (My credit card has a really nice picture of a horse on it).
The young man really studied and concentrated on the design for a good minute or so.
He said it was the nicest credit card he has ever seen!
I think at first, he thought he may have known me, because he asked me what my mother's maiden name was.
It was nice to run into such a polite young man.

Recently at Lowe's I had a similar experience. The gentleman behind me was so incredibly enamored with my Capitol One card, (Series, who knew) he asked all about the Midlets and their schools and our address and our activities.
He was almost the picture perfect 'do not answer this man he is trying to steal your identity', but c'mon. In Lowe's????
He was so nice I gave him a set of keys to the MidloVan.
It's what sets us apart from the freepers.

I probably would have just let him keep the card. When peeps are friendly you have to be nice back!
