I made the fatal error. I gave a cat food.

8. That's how my first one adopted me.

She just would NOT go away, and I could see she was losing weight. I put tuna out as FAR away from my house that I could.

Little shit had my number, and I finally took her in on a below freezing night. That was soooo many years ago, and she's the most docile, loving, and cuddly kitty you could ask for. She even puts up with that little snarly-butt male beast I adopted after her.

9. The stray cat my wife and I befriended trades with us.

We give an alley cat some food and water as he needs it and the little guy drops off dead mice and rats in my yard every other day as thanks. Not a great trade off by any means but at least the little bastard appreciates it, more than my spoiled house cats do.
