2. you are sooooooooo in trouble. |

give the tickets to someone else. Take the flowers and the nice card and present them to your wife. Enjoy the evening at home and then have a wonderful time at Martha's Vineyard. Don't spoil it. Have a happy anniversary.

You will regret it if you do.

7. thanks for all the advice.. |

i was hoping to hear, "Pirate, go to the beer dinner. It is not a major anniversary. Go enjoy yourself. She'll understand!"
but i think everyone is correct here.

9. You're toast. The fallout is inevitable. |
|
Buying flowers/card is an expensive proposition with no oversight, dubious benefit, and serves only to prolong the ultimate reckoning.

11. Why not discuss it with her? |
|
My suggestion would be to discuss it with her and see how she honestly feels about it. Of course, make sure you acknowledge your anniversary ON your anniversary(card and flowers if that's what she likes would be nice) but since you already have plans to celebrate it on Friday, maybe it won't be that big of a deal.
FWIW, I'm a female and have been married 34 yrs.
