What color should I paint my bedroom? (pics)

I'm tired of neutral colors - I want something different. What do you think of these?

2. I am very partial to blue.

My kitchen is navy/light yellow and my family room is light blue/dark blue/ burgundy.

We are going to paint our bedroom wedgewood blue at some point. (read: when we get around to it)

Even my van is blue.

3. It's hard to go wrong with blue.

I just don't want to go with the wrong blue, and have it end up looking like a nursery.

5. The blue in your blue photo is very 'in' right now.

If you look at linens websites, it's very hot. Especially with brown. Which I'm not that partial to.

4. Yellow

I think yellow has a lot more warmth than any of the colors you listed.
Green might be okay, depending on the shade. A celery or apple green might be nice; sage green is too cool, IMHO.
Gray is too neutral and drab.
I saw your name is lavender -- that might be a nicer, warmer color than the blue you listed.

6. My last bedroom was yellow.

I do like it, but I like to switch things around every few years. I get confused looking at magazine pictures, because they make almost any color look good. I thought about a light purple, but I'm worried that it'll look nice on the paint sample but bad in reality... maybe I need to hire a decorator. :rofl:

Pick up the accent color with accessories--pillows and what have you.
