Mini me decided to sit with me while I watched the Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC. The segment on McCain's campaign manager's company taking $$ from Freddie Mac as recent as last month came on and naturally she had questions. This sucks for me because the whole situation is complex and not easy for me to simplify.

I do my best to describe the mess and when I'm done, she just stares at me. A minute later she responds "well why doesn't he just make sure Freddie Mac gets their money back from this guy's company?"

I stare back at her and think "how is it that you're only 8 yrs old?"
