So, I've was brushing up on my shorthand earlier this evening,

after not using these skills for several years. I put aside my shorthand pad to go into the TV room to watch the Big Dog on the Daily Show.

A few minutes later, my daughter walks into the tv room and asks, "Mom, why are you drawing pictures of little sperms on page after page?" :rofl:

I laughed for 5 minutes! Just thought I'd share and maybe give you a chuckle, too.

BTW, my daughter is 24 years old.

I'm just now brushing up on mine. Studied it decades ago in high school, but over the years I've gotten back into it from time to time.

Do you use it for a job, or plan to? Or just for your own personal use?

3. I took shorthand in school many, many years ago

and I tried keeping my diary in it. Now I can't read it!

4. Same here. I can read most of mine--some things I just can't make out.

Most of it is boring.

5. I'm just brushing up just in case.........the company I work for

just got acquired by another company - I expect the layoff of underemployed administrative personnel to begin by Christmas!

I'm also brushing up on my bookkeeping!
