The New Movie Hype: Forget Passion, it's time to discuss...
...this Sarah Polley remake of "Dawn of the Dead." I for one am so glad that someone has finally addressed my religious faith in so forthright a way. Do you understand what it means to be a flesheater in Hillary Clinton's America? My rights are being eroded everyday. I feel as though I can't tell anyone that I worship the living dead for fear of their scorn, their derision. The few co-workers I've shared this with now very tactfully move their small children from out of my reach when I pass them--'really nice!' I think...

Why were stores like the Gap and Starbucks so afraid to allow their stores to be depicted? Is fear of religion in this country so strong that even corporations like them are afraid of the truth? Tonight as I nibble on the brains of whatever carcass I can scrounge, it will taste a little more precious to me, as I'm sure it did to my personal savior, the guy who said "They're coming to get you, Barbara," whatever his name was.

All hail Romero.

1. Except Romero had nothing to do with it...
I'm REALLY wary about this one...I'm a HUGE fan of the original movie, (and the Dario Argento cut called "Zombie"), and just am not expecting too much...

3. I'm a little nervous about this remake

as I am a HUGE fan of the original, but the advance reviews have been positive, so I'm just going to go in and evaluate on its own merits.

I just hope Romero gets his fourth "Living Dead" film of the ground. I heard about it in an interview and it sounds like an interesting concept.

7. I suggest
The Crazies and Martin if you're a Romero fan--its his best non-Living Dead work.
