4. It is really bright
and I love it. I fell in love with the apartment the minute I saw it. And I had real luck with the RE lady. She is very helpful.

6. The kitchen is fantastic
I didn't expect to be able to keep it because we went down with the price. But the seller doesn't need it and gives it to me for the agreed price. I really am lucky with that apartment.

20. My recent apartment
isn't as big. I decided to by a bigger apartment so that in case I have children I have space. Also, that will be the only apartment I will ever buy. So I will live there for the next 30 years at least.

24. Sounds like what we call a "Condo" in the States
An apartment here is simply something you rent month to month, there's nothing 30 year about it, typical agreements are for a year.

in Germany it is common to have 3 months notice when you move out of an apartment. And the new one I bought. All the paperwork still needs to be done.

28. Lovely apt MissH!
Congratulations on your new home. :-) It's spacious and airy, that means a lot.

And I like that your Washer/Dryer is in the bathroom. In my house the W/D are in the "mud room." So the first thing you see when you enter my house is my laundry station. :silly: x(

at the moment my washer is in my bathroom and my dryer in my bedroom. It helps a lot to have both in the bathroom.

Hey, as long as it is only the W/D and not the dirty laundry ... :D

the current owner doesn't live there anymore. So to keep the pigeons off the balcony he put up the net.

I will start with discarding books on the next two weekends. Then I will visit Berlin and since my brother part-owns a second hand bookstore he might be able to sell a couple.

Clothes I will discard and try to sell too.

SO I am starting to be on track :)
