2. Answers.
No. I'm looking for a good atheist group that meets on Sunday mornings. I always enjoyed the community but not the faith. UU doesn't work for me because I'm "militant".

Halloween or New Years Eve.

Define date. "Met her for dinner, romance, entertainment, and possibly ..." = 2. "Met her in a {bar, water park, museum, concert, protest} and ... happened" = 3.

4. One? Several. I'm a food professional. Let me look for a good one.

Good Hummus (This recipe is one that I was given in lieu of a horoscope several years ago by a pair of relationship-bloggers Em and Lo. It's Lo's boyfriend's recipe.)

• half package dry chick peas
• soak overnight (or for 8 hours)
• cook half-hour until tender

In food processor:
• the chick peas
• 1t garlic
• 1t salt
• 2T olive oil
• 1/3t cumin
• juice of 1 lemon
• 3T tahini

Puree in a food processor or blender. You will need to gradually add about a cup of water to keep the chick peas mixing and mushing. Mix a lot, like for a minute longer than you think, until smooth. Cool in fridge.

Eat.

Givenchy pi. I usually wear nothing at all though.

I make a great stuffed french toast!

(recipe follows)

5. Whats your favorite perfume/cologne/bodyspray etc?
on me? i dont wear any.

Stuffed French Toast

1 loaf of heavy white bread. Brioche is good, or even french bread, but the pieces will be small. dont use pre-sliced sandwich bread.
cut the bread into 1/2 inch slices. you'll need about 8 slices, or lots of french bread cuz its smaller.
2 cups milk
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs

mix all the liquids together well. in a baking dish or large flat dish with sides, arrange your bread slices in one layer on the bottom of the dish. pour the milk over it, and let it soak in. turn the peices over once to get every bit of them wet.

Stuffing:
1 package cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
about 1 cup of pineapple. I use about 1/4 of a fresh pineapple, chopped medium fine. You can used canned too, just drain the juice first.

Put the cream cheese in a bowl, and microwave for 30 seconds or so to get it soft. Mix in everything else.

Glaze:
1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water

Put it all in a sauce pan on medium heat until it starts to boil. Turn the heat down to low, and let it simmer until thickened, about 20-30 minutes. Add more sugar if needed to make it thicker.

Put a frying pan or griddle on medium heat, melt a bit of butter in it to keep stuff from sticking. Lay down a couple pieces of the bread, spoon some filling on top, and put another piece of bread on top of that. Squish the top a bit to make the sides come together. Its ok if they don’t stick perfectly, it will look like a large sandwich anyway. Flip the whole thing over when the bottom is brown. When both sides are done, put the sandwiches in a baking dish or cookie sheet, and put in the oven on low (about 250). Make more until you run out of bread or stuffing. Keep them in the oven for at least 20-30 minutes, or until the glaze is ready.

15. Alright but it is a good deal of work:
This chili has no "fillers" like beans or rice. I sometimes cook some brown rice and serve it on the side so people have the option of pouring the chili over the rice. I also serve with corn bread (I use arrowhead corn bread mix but whatever you like).

Serving Size : 6

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
2 1/2 pounds beef brisket -- 1" cubes
2 pound lean pork -- ground
1 large onion -- chopped fine
2 tablespoons Wesson oil
3 to 4 (to taste) garlic cloves -- minced
3 tablespoons diced green chilies (about two good sized jalapenos) Or 1 Tblspoon of diced jalapeno and 2 Tblspoon of Chipotle.puree for a somewhat spicer mix
12 ounces tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
18 ounces beer
2 cups water
9 tablespoons chili powder
4 tablespoons ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
oregano -- pinch

I smoke the Brisket for about 8 hours and the pork for about 4 the days leading up to making this. Then I cut up the brisket as described and grind the pork myself.

In a large kettle or Dutch oven, combine the Beef, Pork and Onions in hot Wesson Oil until onions start to brown.

Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Add remaining ingredients in stages - You will be cooking this for 3 to 4 hours
1st stage, right away: Garlic, onions, chopped jalapeno (and 1 tblspoon of chipolte if using chipolte.), tomato sauce, water, beer, 3 tblspns chili powder, 2 tblspns cumin, 1/8 teaspn mustard, 1/8 teaspn brown sugar Stir well.
2nd stage, last hour of cooking: 3 tblspns chili powder, 1 tblspn cumin
3rd stage, last 10 or 15 minutes (or if you heat up next day): rest of spices; 3 tblspns chili powder, 1 tblspn cumin, 1/8 tspn mustard and brown sugar, pinch of oregano (also last tblspn of chipolte if using), salt and pepper to taste, and secret

Cover and simmer 3 to 4 hours, until meat is tender and Chili is thick and bubbly. Stir occasionally. After 3 hours just watch for the consistency you want, if it looks like it is reducing to much add up to 8oz more tomato sauce

I usually also add some liquid smoke, during 3rd stage

if using cayanne 1/2 tsp is plenty for just a touch of heat after you swallow

1. Yes
2. Thanksgiving, followed closely by Christmas
3. 1
4. My French Onion Soup is pretty frakking good.
5. All colognes, scents, perfumes, etc. are of the devil and an environmental waste. What's wrong with just smelling natural, fer fuck's sake.

Onion Soup:

Thinly slice a bunch of onions, and cook over medium heat for a while to soften 'em up. Turn up heat and toss on a few tablespoons of sugar, and brown them, stirring a lot, for 40 minutes or so. Toss in a few TBS of flour, cook it for a couple minutes, then toss in beef broth and stir it all together well. Bring to boil, then turn immediately to simmer and simmer for hours - as many hours as you can - with cover. Somewhere toward the end of cooking, toss in a few dashes of cognac, Southern Comfort, Dry Vermouth, or whisky and stir it in. Serve as is, or put in bowl, cover with stale (or toasted) bread and gruyere cheese or other cheese of your fancy, bake or broils to melt the cheese, and then serve piping goddamned hot.

1. Do you attend religious services regularly?
Does never count as regularly?

2. What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas is fun.

3. What is the greatest number of dates you have had in one weekend?
2, maybe? Not much of a dater, haha.

4. Is there something specific you excel at baking/cooking? If so, would you share the recipe with us
I have been told I make a mean chicken quesadilla, but I don't have a specific recipe. I cook the chiken in a combination of Diana's Chicken and Rib barbecue sauce, cayenne sauce, jalapeno sauce and chipotle powder though. And I use Black Diamond cheddar/montery jack cheese mix that has dried tomato and jalapeno bits in it. I always just whip it together though, so I have no idea how much or how long to cook it, haha. It was created as a result of lots of experimentation.

5. Whats your favorite perfume/cologne/bodyspray etc?
Not a big fan of those things in general. I'm kinda sensitive to some scented things.

Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 1.5 hours, pouring off fat after the first hour. The sausage keeps it moist, the leftovers make the best sandwiches ever.

Get a bunch of St. Louis Style Ribs

Cumin

Mix these to your taste, but the ingredients are listed in order of prominence

Coat the ribs with the dry rub and let marinate for 24 hours or so.

2. The Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Solstice season. It's commercialized, and cheesy, but I've always liked it. Especially because my birthday is Christmas Eve.
3. One.
4. I'm okay at cooking a few things, but I wouldn't say I particularly excel. Although I once made a really yummy pasta with olive oil, roasted garilc, artichokes, some other vegetables that I don't remember, and lots of fresh basil.
5. Calgon pear caramel bodyspray. It smells so yummy!

33. Here goes.
1) I go to my grandma's church fairly regularly, but really I'm just in the choir and that's 'bout it for me. :P
2) Hmm. I like the whole fall/winter season stuff. Any excuse to have weird orange food like sweet potatoes and squash and pumpkin is a big plus for me.
3) I'm pretty introverted. Just one at a time.
4) Quick and easy, but without using microwave dinners or anything like that. I can turn Hamburger Helper into haute cuisine. Okay, I'm exaggerating. But I can take what is traditionally lazy easy food and make it good. Casseroles, chicken, ect. Basic stuff.
5) None. I use deoderant and that's it. I smell like me.

35. ok....
1. no

2. either thanksgiving or Christmas, depending - whenever I get to be with the whole family, just hanging out, eating, watching movies, etc.

3. one.... maybe two way back when I was a teenager. I've never really been a dater.

4. I make a pretty mean curried roasted vegetable dish, and it's just like it sounds: mix together some olive oil, lemon juice, curry powder, and sri racha. Cover chopped up vegetables (whatever you've got - zucchini, eggplant, onions, peppers, carrots, garlic, cauliflower, etc. - potatoes too, if you're not going to serve it with rice or couscous) with that stuff and bake it in a not-too-hot oven for a really long time, periodically taking it out to stir the vegetables around so that they all have equal time simmering in the sauce that's forming, and getting sort of grilled on top. Then take it out and put it over rice or couscous, and loads of hummous on the side, and/or some bread (makes for fantastic sandwiches on the next day).

5. yuck - I can't stand any of that stuff, for myself, or on others.

37. Answers for the lovely Lioness...
1. Do you attend religious services regularly?

No

2. What is your favorite holiday?

On Christmas Eve we head out to nosh at the local Jewish Deli, Shapiro's, around 5PM. After that we head over to Monument Circle (DT Indy) to freeze our butts off doing laps around the monument ogling the lights while sipping hot cocoa. Our final stop of the Eve is at St. John's Cathedral... just as the early evening mass is letting out we're shuffling in. Although we have never attended the service we have been sneaking up to the choir loft to huddle inside the pipe organ as the organist plays out the early crowd. This is a tradition that I started when we moved here from California six years ago.
I'm aware that it is quirky but, it... well... it just vibrates my soul. :silly:

3. What is the greatest number of dates you have had in one weekend?

Two and at the same time.

4. Is there something specific you excel at baking/cooking? If so, would you share the recipe with us.

I love to cook and bake and eat!

Here are links to two recipes I submitted to vegweb years ago...

5. Whats your favorite perfume/cologne/bodyspray etc?

I like citrus essential oils. I'll mix orange with cinnamon, clove, etc... to create an orange spice and I love lemon & lime with lemongrass too.

:hi:

No

Halloween

One

Tomato Basil Quinoa (cause it is easy to write): Quinoa, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes, garlic powder (for even distribution; fresh also works well), maple syrup, salt, lemon juice. Mix and let sit in the fridge for a while. Serve cold.

Lavender oil, tea tree oil and water mixed in a spritzer.
