Anyone catch the Today Show this morning?
It was broadcast from my hometown, Williamsburg, VA and I was there...with my Obama sign!

I posted at little in the VA state forum here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=183&topic_id=5569&mesg_id=5595

1. I did! I'm just west of Richmond.
Were there more Obama supporters or McCain supporters? It looked to me like more Obama, but I'm not certain.

2. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, there were more McCain supporters

Grrr!

I was hoping for more Obama supporter from Wm & Mary. Some students were there, but some carried McCain signs!!! One faculty member, as she identified herself, saw my sign and grabbed me excitedly, as if I were a long lost friend! Ha! We were standing in the middle of a bunch of McCain supporters on one side...and I remarked to her that I could not believe all these McCain supporters. She said "I know!" And replied loudly...making sure THEY heard, "Don't they READ!" One woman whipped her heard around and said 'read WHAT?!" I said "ANYTHING, news magazines, newspapers, the Washington Post." I could tell by looking at her that she wouldn't touch a computer keyboard. You know the type. Sigh.

Since I wanted to get closer to the front rope, I had to move to the other side and finally found myself with a number of Obama supporters! But they weren't the typical, white locals. Of course not. There were a large group of black folks who had driven down from Richmond this morning and arrived at 5:30!!! Very friendly. And I stood next to a group of gals from Canada with their sign "Canadians for Obama." Had a lovely chat with all of them.

For the back of my sign (I described the front in my state forum post), I printed this out a "Gigolo McBush/Caribou Barbie" bumpersticker !!! Yes, I did. ;)

Apparently it offended some folks. No sense of humor. ;)

Too bad it's so conservative here.
