Its official :( My cardiologist says "No bacon"
He said I need to eat a "Mediterranean diet". So, I'm thinking Prosciutto.

just trying to be an optimist

1. You needed a doctor to tell you no bacon?
I'd have thought a picture of Elvis would have been enough.

You could always try some of the fake bacons. They don't taste like bacon on their own, but they are decent substitutes on BLTs or in other dishes. Then again, I'm vegetarian, so I don't remember what the real stuff tastes like. :)

4. Try canadian bacon instead.
Lower in fat, just as meaty, comes from the same animal.

I've heard there's such a thing as chocolate-covered bacon--the holy grail of addictive food.
