Weird shit your pets do to show their displeasure...
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 02:29 AM by Solon
My cat, Sylvester, throws things around as if she were a 3 year old child on a tantrum. At least she doesn't scream at the same time, her favorite things to toss around are books from my bookshelf. She grips a paperback in it binding with her claws, then throws back as hard as she can, causing the book to fly from the shelf, and a couple of times even hit me when I wasn't paying attention to her antics.

Of course I realize this is all my fault, even though today, while I was at work, she cleared almost an entire shelf worth of books from my bookcase, leaving a pile on the floor. I think it is because she either missed me or her sister, who decided to sneak out last night, and didn't show up till tonight. She's very attached to both of us.

What type of stuff do your pets do to show how pissed they are with you?

1. My cats...
backtalk me. They say things like "Mama" (yeah, they really do) with a curt tone.

2. Maybe Sylvester disapproves of your reading selection?

And my dog never does anything whatsoever to demonstrate displeasure because she's a dog and never finds anything wrong.

The worst she can muster is to not act happy when I'm leaving and not taking her with me. She doesn't actually act mad, just sort of expressionless, which for a dog I guess is pretty harsh. Because under all other circumstances she acts like everything is just swell and gets happy at the littlest things.

3. Pickle runs to her scratching board and angrily scratches at it.
It's hilarious, because she wants to express her displeasure, but can't bring herself to actually break any rules. :D She's a good girl.

4. Plato throws shit off my night table when I don't wake up fast enough
Apparently, breakfast is the most important meal of the day for those people. And I'm not a morning person.

Evie once peed on the bed right in front of me and the s.o. because I wouldn't share my late-night snack breakfast bar. Willful little thing...!
