I finally have a job offer, and I accepted it yesterday!
Lost my job in May and have been on unemployment and job hunting since. Sent out many an application, searched many a job website etc. Was increaslingly frustrated, and depressed. This on top of the insanity of this election year was making me crazier than hell.

Applied for a job on recommendation of an old friend (now working there) and they called like immediately. Had interview 2 weeks ago, I think...
so yesterday I am out in the town square of my old home town in Kentucky with my cousin helping her campaign for State Legislature, cell phone rings and it is The Company..with some final questions and an offer!

company has great benefits...ability to earn 3 weeks vacation the first year, plus two additional personal days, plus 7 pd holidays plus 10 sick days a year and you can ROLL YOUR SICK TIME!!! Nice location for the first 15 months or so, when company is relocating to the middle of the MetroPlex..but..it is on the TRE line and they are already working out the shuttle plans to the Centerport TRE stop so it will be in place when the move starts. So I can do my 6 minute commute to the TRE station, jump on the train and nap, put on makeup, read, etc. and arrive at work relaxed instead of totally ready to kill the first person I see due to traffic ( the highway route to this place is a horrible commute..if you know the FW/D area it is near the airport....)

So I start Oct 20 ..when I get back to Texas I will have time to get all organized for being back on a regular schedule, and do some ground game for our Candidates. YAY.

and I had some scary car trouble earlier in the week, which was also resolved (repair completed and well done) yesterday, and my cousin had an excellent campaign walk around the square. I think she will win, folks. If so she will be the 14th woman in the KY Lege.

I also got to talk to my daughter, which is always a bonus

and I am headed to my college's 150th Anniversary Party/Massive Reunion where I will see some old and wonderful friends for first time in like 30 years or so. Then Sunday I am stopping to see our best friend, and staying over with her then heading back to Texas.

It has been a great week, from a personal viewpoint. Rather scary and hilarious at the same time, nationally speaking...but I am breathing easier this morning.

To all who are looking for jobs whether to better themselves or because they are unemployed, my total best of luck, vibes and good wishes to every one of you.

7. Thank you, friend. Are you still with the campaign?
The Tarrant Co DEMS are having their debate watch party @ the Rahr Brewery in FW $5 donation at the door, I hate missing it but I am in Kentucky.

8. Indeed, I'm in it until Nov. 4.
Still having fun! Also back on the job market though. I think it would be a good idea to get back in my field. What are you doing in Kentucky, volunteering for Obama?

9. no that would be a total waste of time up here, I am afraid. Visiting family
attending a Big College Reunion event (150th Anniversary of My Old School) and so forth.

I'll be back in Texas Tuesday at the latest ..back to ground game for the downticket.

OH the Tarrant Co debate party will have a special guest...Rick Noriega...

I sure do hate missing that! I will have to settle for the rerun/Keith/Rachel overview on Friday nite as I am attending a banquet @ this Reunion thing while the debate is on
