A few weeks ago I deleted my myspace account

I keep forgetting to mention this, but if you guys were my friends on myspace, please don't think i removed you. I just deleted my account in full.

14. Everybody talks about how Facebook is better

It's more "adult," they say.

But I've asked, and nobody's told me what Facebook is like — just that it's "better." :shrug:

15. I don't know that I'd classify it as more "adult," but it has a less "meat market" atmosphere.

I like the cleaner layouts and quick load times. I like being able to write short notes on my friends' Walls even if I don't have time for a chat. I've gotten in touch with many old friends from my radio days and from my hometown, and just received a nice long, newsy letter from a woman I was very good friends with when we were girls.

I like Facebook's word games also. I absolutely love to play Scramble, which is like Boggle, with varying degrees of difficulty. There are also a Scrabble game, an anagram game, and a few other words games I enjoy. I've always subscribed to the theory that things like word games and crossword puzzles can help stave off Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!


ETA that I hooked up with a couple of local, active Democratic Party groups via Facebook.
