I've never even visited those sites. Not interested and not enough time.

I had a MySpace page for a long time, but I rarely ever logged in to keep up with it. :(

I've been in contact with people I never thought I'd see again from high school. I've been seeing names from so long ago, and been catching up with so many people.

And barely did when I did. I had a myspace page for awhile but finally realized that the people who were finding me who I'd lost touch with were people who for the most part I had nothing in common with anymore anyway.
When one of my old friends from grade school contacted me and started preaching the Rapture, I decided it was time to move on.

I have no idea why I would want to put myself out there to be found by strangers or people that I've lost touch with. In 99.9999% of cases where I've lost touch with someone, it's been on purpose. Especially with email, it's incredibly easy to stay in contact with people. I think it's just bizarre. Perhaps it's just another step in furthering the self-absorbed, self-aggrandizing culture that we're a part of - people spend most of their free time doing shit on web pages that are all about them.

I'm in a business where I have seen people lose job offers due to these pages, and I have no interest in tempting fate.
