2. Hello? Lord of the Rings!

How can you skip that? I know Excalibur uses Tannahauser and other Wagner but what Howard Shore does in LOTR is really amazing.

7. Star Wars

Yeah, I know, it's 'Science Fiction'...
but if you call the Force 'Magic', and the lightsabers's 'Swords'...

Ben's Theme makes a great 'he's using magic, see' music...
And the swordfight music in all 5 movies is quite good...
And it's hard to beat Darth Vader's Theme (Imperial March) for the advancing of evil.

8. I loved that soundtrack when I was younger

Now that I know Williams's influences, I can get all arrogant and snobbish and point out who he ripped off. :D

It's still a great soundtrack, though.

edit: And since there's sorcery and swordfighting, it may as well be a swords and sorcery movie.

has some great pieces of music.

I know.. it's not pure sword and sorcery... still it is good.
