Do you eat when you are stressed out?
I've been having a stressful week at work and a lot on my mind. I keep running to the fridge for snacks!

Someone please stop me! :banghead:

2. Yes! I'm heading for the sweets!
Wonder what it is about sugar that makes us think it will relieve stress?

I'm so glad you are here. You understand the kind of stress I'm talking about.

8. No, I tend not to eat when I'm stressed.
If I start eating too much, it's usually because I'm bored.

11. Same here, SeattleGirl....
I've lost plenty of weight due to stress... :( I know some people would be envious, but really, it's not healthy or good.

10. That is interesting.... I wonder why stress has the opposite effect on some of us?
I know I should exercise or do something to take my mind off the problem. That would be the sane thing to do!

I went out today to do some shopping and run errands, and it cleared my mind for awhile. I know I should just tackle this issue, but then I think if I do nothing, it will just go away. I'm driving myself crazy!

P.S. If you non-eaters have any chocolate chip cookies around, could you email me some? :hi:

12. Not usually, no.
When I am experiencing high negative stress or anxiety, I literally cannot eat. I may be able to force myself to take a bite or two of something, but that's it.

14. i try and find something mindless cleaning to do, maybe scrub some grout.
or replace a light fixture. Anything to just keep my hands busy and and my mind on something else, i find it actually halps me calm down and sometimes find a solution to ease whatever is causing the stress.

Seems to help a little. But, damn, they cost a frickin' fortune.
