I don't think I would want House as my doctor.
Why the hell do people think he's a good doctor? He's wrong on about 75% of his diagnoses. In most cases he almost kills the patient or causes them extreme pain before he figures out what's wrong with them.

I would not want him as my doctor.

1. Yeah, but he sings a mean rendition of "Sonny Boy", and you should see his valet.
Worth it...

5. Has anyone ever figured out
Why no one has ever forced an Intervention on this jerk? He wouldn't last more than a week in any hospital or other health facility I've ever worked in. And what's with the low-cut necklines on all the female hospital staff? Only folks I've ever seen walk around a hospital with that much skin exposed are the patients.

7. I had a doctor who was similar enough -
he almost killed me.
He was always late for appointments, over an hour at times. He seemed to be on pills of some kind, possibly coke as well.
He was pretty rude, and did not like to talk about anything - he just gave you his verdict.
He mis-diagnosed the pain in my arms as carpal tunnel, had me see a specialist who injected me in the wrists, with no effect.

Turned out I had blocked coronary arteries - I had 2 heart attacks, and needed a quad bypass.

He is no longer my doctor, but he is somebody elses.

15. Medicine is an art, not a science
Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 11:14 PM by dawgmom
Diagnosis on very difficult cases (the kind he gets) is very often trial and error. Of course, a lot of it is Hollywood, and strictly for entertainment.

But all things considered, I love the guy at the same time I think: "What an asshole." He makes me laugh, and he's got a great bullshit detector.

16. I had an asshole doctor once
I was in there to get a prescription refilled, and he treated me like I didn't know shit.

I didn't go back.

17. I have it on good authority that he's not even American, the bastard!
The basic conceit of the show is that, although he causes them pain or nearly kills them, any other doctor would--at best--cause them pain and kill them.
