My elderly kitty is driving me nuts!!!
She doesn't drink water out of a bowl, so I mug sitting up on my desk for her to drink out of. If the water gets too low she does that "cheek rub" that kitties do and knocks the mug over. That is how she tells you to refill her mug.

She likes to walk across my keyboard and she always, ALWAYS hits the "power down" button on the keyboard. It pisses me off because I will be in chat in a heated debate then all of a sudden, "poof".

This happened in a span of ten minutes today. So I tortured her...I picked her up and cuddled her for a long time. Way past the amount of cuddling she needs every day.

4. Oh I do!
I tell her that I love her and then I kiss her from her head down to her tail. She will put up with some cuddling. But I went overboard with her today!

6. Isn't it annoying though?
I can't stay mad at her.....I just reboot and live with it. I don't know how in the hell she manages to find the power down button every time she walks across my keyboard.

9. I love Jokey
Jokey reminds me a lot of myself. When I get stoned,I like to play practical jokes on people. Like my ex-wife asked,"Why are you always playing tricks one me?"...that alone was enough to make me start laughing really hard. I am a nice guy, but I have a little mean streak going through me as some DUers know.

that'll turn off the sleep mode.

Works every time.

27. I'll check it ou
but it doesn't "sleep" when she hits this button. The button says "power" on it and my computer powers down and I have to turn it back on again. But thanks for the advice, that gives me ideas on how to disable the power button.

8. Maybe you can locate some sort of weighted mug that will not tip over so easily. They MUST exist
for cases just like this...

10. No, doubt..Brookie
but this mug is HUGE!! It would cost you $7.50 at the bar to fill it. She can go down pretty low, but once it's past a certain point, she nudges it over.

17. Trust me,
I had 16 cats one time. It works! Also, museum putty, but I recommend industrial strength velcro. Carpet tape might do the job, but I haven't tried it. As I type this, I have a little doxi-huahua (part Dachshund, part Chihuahua, all attitude) asleep on the desk, a cat curled up on the top of the printer, and 2 dogs on the floor at my feet. Gawd only knows where the rest of them are. I'm down to 7 cats and 3 dogs--just love living in a kennel!

If I was rich, I would open a "no-kill" cat shelter and stop by everyday and cuddle the kitties while everyone worked.

One of my nieces captures ferals and takes them for spay/neuter, then spends months taming the younger ones, and finding them homes. I call her St Kathy of Kittehs! My sister swears I must have marked her at birth!

30. Awww!
It's amazing how quick kittens go feral, isn't it? We got Dolly when she was living under a taco bell dumpster with her sisters and brothers and I don't know how, but we caught her. Brought her home, had her spayed, etc.But it took a GOOD year before she was socialized. Cats are curious, and as long as you keep their litter box clean and give them food and water, they eventually will venture out to see "what's happening!"

Funny thing about Dolly, she didn't like strangers and would hide when they visited. But, if those strangers showed up with arms full of fast food, Dolly would hear the wrappers and she would be right out there for her share. She didn't mind the strangers then.

Dolly died of kidney failure when she was 6 years old. I loved her so much.......I need to get a scanner so I can post her pic.

24. Pretzel likes mugs too. And he has sent more than one cup to the floor with a playful nudge-nudge
swipe. And then he watches all the liquid dribbling off of the table, like it's the most fascinating view ever. I think he's actually broken a couple of mugs this way.

When I cook a chicken breast or order a pizza,I make sure she gets her fair share. She likes people food more than she likes her cat food.
