Wierd things I freak out about

I keep constantly getting extremely scared of two things


1. Death

2. Nuclear war destroying the planet

technically you should just be afraid of the second. It pretty much assures the first. :)

4. You're normal. The subject is just different for some of us.

I'm afraid for my kids, especially my disabled child.

I've been thinking about death too much lately.

I'm afraid global warming is going to take us all out and somehow, it will happen quickly (I have no scientific basis for that).

I'm just getting more paranoid as I age.

6. Death is definately the big bugger. What matters as much is the way we

actually go. The whole peak oil thing bothers me even worse than the nuke scenario, because it could be slow and miserable for so many people all at once. Not to add to your phobias or anything. But it's just something I've been considering lately.

Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters..

A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.

The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.

'Disruption and conflict will be endemic features of life,' concludes the Pentagon analysis. 'Once again, warfare would define human life.'
