KFC or Popeyes?
And keep it relevant - no local yokel chicken places that are your favorites...since I have no idea what they taste like.

2. Popeye's
Mmmmmmm MMmmmmmm!

However..

I do *like* Original recipe from KFC.

Popeye's chicken is overall better quality though and their sides are hella-better.

4. The wife is bringing home KFC tonight, but they're both good
Edited on Thu Feb-26-04 06:44 PM by POed_Ex_Repub
Flip a coin, you can't really go wrong with either one of them. If you go KFC, get original recipe. If you go Popeye's, make sure you rent "Little Nicky" while eating it.

Edit: Spelling

8. I met Colonel Sanders...but, I've never met Popeye.
It was back in 1967. And, yes, he was wearing his famous white suit.

I don't eat KFC much anymore. But, it is still finger-lickin' good!

10. I prefer Popeye's.
KFC us good, but I like the spicier Popeye's. Also, I'm fond of their sides - the red beans and rice are, in my opinion, particularly good!

12. Are we talkin' just chicken, or side orders, or everything?...
'Cuz if we're talking just chicken, KFC original recipe wins hands down.

Popeye's chicken strips are the best, though, and I'd have to give the edge to Popeye's for the side orders, too.

14. I've never eaten Popeyes
I like KFC chicken. Other people seem to like Popeyes so I'll have to check them out if I go someplace where there is that restaurant.

18. Popeye's for sure
Chicken: Both good (I like the spicy dk mt at Popeye's though)
Biscuits: Popeye's rules
Sides: Popeye's rules (if you've never had them, get a large red beans and rice, and a large cajun rice, cajun rice = dirty rice)

22. Popeye's is better chicken, however the KFC biscuit is superior
Don't get me wrong, the Popeye biscuit is a delicacy in it's own right, but it is laden with salt and drenched in butter, one's heart races upon consumption. Good, but not it is like a corn dog in respect to a hot dog. It is a particular specialty. The KFC biscuit is more orthodox and not overly rich, as the Popeye's can be. The KFC biscuit is also cheaper if memory serves correctly.

23. Popeye's, no doubt
but since the closest one to my house is 30 miles away...

I resort to the local yokel establishments. Ezell's Fried Chicken rocks, and if you think that is too far away, Oprah Winfrey at one time used to order batches sent to Chicago....
