My 401K has tanked - I want a bailout

I didn't have 100K to lose. I started out with a lousy 20 grand and I've lost 4 of it. But yeah, I have to look into some redistribution.

9. Me too. Did it today. I am not going to worry about what I've

invested in the mutual funds of the 403(b). For the time being into Treasuries. And i was planning on retiring in 5 years 10 months and 3 days. But who was counting.

3. Not sure how much mine has changed

since it was owned by AIG and now I guess by the government. We all got 'Transaction Confirmation Statements' in the mail this week. I've been too busy to sit down and go through all this stuff so far.

But hey - look at it this way....I just found out that my mother lost $80,000 and her boss lost $400,000 from their 401k's. It can always be worse, right?

Hopefully for all of us, this will quickly stabilize, Obama wins the election, and we can all finally get some rest. :)
