Sure, your coffee will taste funny, but you won't care about not feeling well.
I do hope that you feel better.

2. I was thinking about something found in the alcohol aisle |
|
;)
You're right, though. It'll taste nasty but it won't matter.

3. Nothing goes well in coffee. |

It is meant to be drank black. For the bronchitis/sinus infection, I'd suggest Mucinex.

I've had asthma since I was 2. I start taking that at the first signs of congestion.

A little splash of Parrot Bay rum also goes pretty well if you like something sweet

15. Decided against the alcohol |

the Bailey's and Kahlua were $20/bottle. Can't justify that. I got chicken noodle soup, pumpkin coffee mate to satisfy my Starbucks pumpkin spice craving. Can't justify $4 for coffee either.

16. cheap brandy, cheap bourbon |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 01:36 PM by pitohui
if you decide against the coffee, you have to get a better brand of booze but the cheap stuff is okay in coffee
i like kahlua and baileys but no noticeable effect on my sinus from those products
if you go for no alcohol at all you end up buying "cold medicine" which is a VERY expensive form of shitty alcohol ounce for ounce (read the list of ingredients)
best to my mind is to forget about the coffee altogether, make hot tea, with honey, and lemon (fresh squeezed if you have the energy) plus bourbon, stay home and sleep after drinking the tea
works for me
but the coffee suggests you must work so i'd do a weak coffee and bourbon and avoid operating heavy equipment :-)
get well soon
i run a mile from nyquil and other high-priced garbage but maybe that stuff actually works for somebody somewhere
i think you made a false economy since a tiny bottle of nyquil is $6 (i assume you have to use SOMETHING for your sinus and pumpkin spice creamer won't cut it) and a bottle of cheap old crow that could last you for a year is about the same (in our grocery store anyway)
hope the chicken soup will work but if it doesn't and you must go out to re supply, run the numbers per quantity of product

I've noticed that hot, steaming drinks (with caffeine) seem to help my asthma and open my sinuses a bit. I forgot a few things last night (brain fog) and have to go back out. I'll look for some brandy or bourbon.
The sudafed takes care of my sinuses. I just wanted to not feel so bad for a while.

18. Green tea and a piece of fresh ginger root would help you |
|
Just cut about a 1/2 inch of the ginger root and leave it in the bottom of the green tea. Trust me, it works! :hi: Hope you feel better soon. Here's an uplifting song for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXajdHbZ5oY
