1. Isn't that cabbage and noodles?
Used to be one of my favorites! Do you know how to make it?

3. Yes I know how to make it but it normally comes in very large
batches because you use a cabbage head and a a lot of noodles (egg noodles or homemade)...
then one or two large onions and loads of butter...

I love it served warm with a dollop of sour cream!

6. Take a medium sized head of cabbage and chop it up rather fine, but
not as thin as coleslaw. Saute it in butter or oleo until it carmelizes , turns a little brown. Add salt and pepper. Boil about a pound or 3/4 pound of good egg noodles ("Kluskies" are good). Drain the noodles, mix the two together. Homemade noodles are best.

7. Onions?
Are there supposed to be onions in this recipe or not? I don't think so but I want to ask a pro. Think it would taste good with those "eggless" egg noodles for people with cholesterol problems?

BTW, this is an excellent dish for people on constrained budgets in the Bush* economy...cheap and hearty. Nothin' like good old peasant food! Wouldn't it be great if we could people to post their favorite recipes from their immigrant grandparents or whoever?
