That song had alot of meaning to my living situation at the time.
I still think of those days when I hear it.

I've seen some *extremely* pro-capitalist stuff with his name on it. Granted, stuff that goes around the net often has the wrong person's name on it as author.

7. I saw them before 2000 and Duritz said... |
|
"Everyone needs to vote even if you are fucking republicans"
He's said a bunch of other things about helping the poor and railing against the rich corporation owners at past shows also.

That's cool.
The thing I read was (ostensibly) him asserting that he had a right to make tens of millions of dollars off one song that he spent twenty minutes writing because that's how America works, and so downloading that song is stealing food off his plate. And it doesn't matter how much WORK goes into something -- the person who thought up those little breath strips deserves to be filthy rich and never work again because that's how America works, and if you don't like it, then YOU write a song and get filthy rich.
It was a long time ago....don't remember much, but it seemed to be the usual "poor rich me" crap.
If he wrote that e-mail of long ago, he's an asshole, but if he's a Dem, I'll forgive him. :)

13. Yes, that is what you said.. |

And I quote: "Liberals?? I've seen some *extremely* pro-capitalist stuff with his name on it."
So, again, I ask.. is it possible to be a capitalist and still be a liberal?
