TEXAS . . .

I must say that my opinion of Texas is changing a bit. I've had so much fun the past 2 weeks being an Obama poll-greeter with DeposeTheBoyKing (my sis!) and have met several really nice, really liberal, real good Democrats.
I can't tell you how many times we received *thumbs up* signals from people we would have SWORN were repugs - some are and can't stand another 4 years of this mess - they've (FINALLY) seen the light.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least Dallas county will go BLUE!

2. We went blue two years ago. :)

42 out of 42 Democratic candidates on the ballot were elected in 2006, and the Democratic candidate for governor got the majority of the vote in the county. There is no doubt in my mind that Obama will take the county, and all of our countywide candidates will win. I have my concerns about some state house races, though, but I'm keeping my hopes up. :D

Texas liberals are the best kind, in my opinion. And no one in the world is more awesome than a redneck hippie (usually only found in Austin--it's an endangered species--good luck finding any real ones in Dallas).
