But I have to pick nits about the Twins avatar! As a native Californian, I make it a point of personal responsibility to campaign for CA immigrants to start cheering for CA teams. I don't know if that is why you cheer for the Twins, it is just a guess. Although I know my quest is pointless and annoying, it's so sad to go to a game where there are always more peeps wearing the opposing team's color.

So, please at least consider cheering for the Pads or the Angels a couple times a year and see if you like it. :-)

We've had a lotta that kinda shit happening in our town. Stolen signs, slashed signs... Last weekend, our huge OBAMA '08 banner got cut down off our huge corner eucalyptus tree, too. It had been up there for over 7 mos, since before the primaries ended. I was sooo pissed, but I wrote a letter to the Editor and submitted it to our local papers and felt better. It was very therapeutic for me to write. One of the papers even printed it up, which made me feel good.

I finished the letter strongly with these words:

It is disheartening to know there is so much hate in our little corner of the world. But at the same time, it only strengthens our resolve to make a difference come Election Day and vote for Hope, Action, and Change. We will NOT allow a few small-minded individuals to stop us from speaking out and believing in a better future for our country. Hey thieves, it’s YOUR loss, not ours. Change IS coming, no matter how many signs you steal or destroy. Deal with it.


I'll be so glad when this whole thing is all over. 2 more days....
