There's nobody here but me to clean this effin' place which is a DISASTER after last night's festivities. I couldn't say no because this is a third showing and the people are bringing somebody by to talk about redoing the kitchen or whatevah. We may have finally sold this place, who knows? But in the meantime, I'm S-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-c-c-c-k-k-k-k-k-k-k (whines) and I doan wanna move.

Please send vibes, goog people. Also, I have another job interview next Wednesday. Please send vibes for that, too. :D :hi:

Edited to say, I know I wrote "goog people" and I'm just gonna leave it. :P

4. No, it's viral.
Me and my oldest son have the viral version; my youngest had the bacterial. I'm actually on the mend. :hi:

3. Get on your cell phone, summon your kids and tell them to get busy.
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 05:01 PM by LeftyMom
Tell them if any of their friends will come help you'll order them a pizza afterward.

Trying to exert yourself with pneumonia is a good way to wind up hospitalized. Trust me, I've BTDT.

edit: didn't see they were sick too. Can you hire somebody?

9. The kids are at their father's place (next town) but I did just call them.
They'll show up tomorrow and we'll do a small, slow cleanup. Gah!

19. He benefits by selling the house too, right?
He should haul his ass over and do something. Do you have a neighbor or friend who would help or who could recommend someone to hire for the day?

Hope it really sells this time and hope you feel better soon!

I've been sick all week.

Try whiskey and lemon.

And I hope you feel better soon.

12. Third showing? I agree with SPK. Joke'em.
They already know how good it can look. If you and the kids just clean up the worst stuff and explain about the pneumonia that's good enough.

And maybe they'll get off the stick and make a good offer on the house to save that poor sickly woman crim son from any more showings.

13. Yeah! That poor, sickly woman! :)
I've done the basics and am now quitting. The realtor said that the woman made some kind of remark about me being "short" and it was supposed to be derogatory. Short? I'm 5'8" tall. I don't remember her being a giantess. I hope they buy the house and then it falls down around her gargantuan ears. ;)

14. Oh sweetie...
:grouphug: Get better soon. I'm praying that the showing will go well, even if the Gorgon buying it thinks you're short. I don't really care what happens to the house, either, as long as the check clears first... :P

You deserve some good happ'nins for a change...:loveya:

15. Thank you very, very much Aristus.
I'm trying not to get too hopeful but I think the fact that they are getting a consultation on renovation is a good thing. OTOH, the house is on the Nat'l Historic Register and they town is pretty strict about changing the homes' exteriors. We had to go to a hearing just to change the paint color! Maybe the realtor won't mention it, or more likely they're richer than god and figure where there's a will, there's a way.

Hugs to you! :loveya: :hi: :pals:

21. My house sold on the day after a Halloween party.
Didn't have time to clean up the dishes, the party stuff. It sold that day. Perhaps the buyer sees a real liveable house when things are evidence of a good time.
