Will PA get ANOTHER sports gift today??? (All eyes on Lubbock)
With Penn State sitting at #3 in the rankings, and Texas at #1, all eyes are on Lubbock, Texas tonight, where the Longhorns are currently losing 19-0 to a scrappy Texas Tech team.

WE ARE...

:-)

1. It's not a gift we are giving on purpose
 If Texas can't win it, I'd love to see the old guy get one last title. (Assuming he doesn't get two or three more).

Wow. The bad news is, you might wind up facing Tech!

3. It looks like coaching to me.
They are in the right place at the right time on every play, offense or defense. I just watched a pass play where Tech's receiver caught a short pass about a yard from a Longhorn, and immediately another Tech player blocked the defender off, and the receiver got a big gain. When the Longhorns catch anything, they are swarmed immediately.

Looks to me like a great offensive plan. Maybe Paterno and crew would figure it out better than the Longhorns have done. Mack Brown really isn't that good a game coach, he's just a tremendous recruiter. If you ever him speak, you'll see why--he's a born salesman. Reminds me of Zig Zigler. But his game calling isn't that strong. He's got a good defensive coordinator, but so far that isn't helping in this game.

It ain't over, though. The Longhorns looked better at the half's end, and Colt McCoy is better than people know. He's getting a lot of dropped passes right now. If he gets his touch back, they could still come back.

Yeah, I'm thinking way too much about this game!
