Another dud of a date last night

What's with the desire to test people's boundaries?

I ran across another one last night. We saw a movie, had a nice time as far as it went (I thought). It was late, I was tired and genuinely wanted to go home and said so. He wanted to sit in my car and talk. I said well, I can only stay a few minutes and I meant a few minutes, i.e. 10 minutes tops.

Long story short, he wouldn't take a cue that I really wanted to leave. I wound up having to order him out of my car with a loud OUT! complete with grim reaper finger pointing out the door.

I don't enjoy doing that; I'm a pretty calm person most of the time. But when someone doesn't respond to normal social cues. :shrug:

Gah. What is it about me that attracts these obnoxious sorts?

He seemed like a pretty reasonable guy up until then.

I wondered when I woke up this morning if perhaps he's not some flavor of Aspie. He's 11 years older than me, just an age when that would have gone unnoticed.

I wonder how many undiagnosed people there were out there. I wonder also how many of them have had their lives affected by it and have never known that the reaon for it

It's not been a good weekend for me unfortunately. I spent every waking hour of the past few weeks compiling tedious computer research that I hoped to have ready for Wednesday but on Saturday night I accidentally erased it and have been unable to retrieve it so I have to start again from square 1!

Heh. I've accidentally blown up technical manuals I was working on before. x( Not a pretty sight.

A: If he's a nice guy it's just a nice thing to do.
B: If he's a creep, that's how you get laid (Sometimes, but that doesn't stop creeps from trying it EVERYTIME).
