She needs to find a way to keep her beloved Rottweiler and her home.

As a long time DUer I know that together we can come up with a way to solve this dilemma.

6. Peace , Thanks for the quick reply
I have serious problem all of a sudden after all this time. we have a doggy park in our gated community in Lake ariel, Pa, for two and half years I have been taking my dog bear a large rotti to this doggy park, he plays well with others and loves all animals.some times as many as 30 dogs at the same time, mostly though there are 10 to twelve. never an incident. he is well mannered, On June 2,2008 we were in the park and two dogs were in a fight, all dogs are off leash.. bear heard the female whimpering and the male on top of her growliing..ran to her rescue and jumped on the back on the male (also a fairly large dog )and bit him on the back and shoulder. I immediately hooked him on his leash and removed him.then returned to apoligize for his behavior, the owner told me not to worry "this is what dogs do" but, I had never seen this happen before. .I said if you need to take him to the vet I will pay for the examination. (because the dog was bleeding). when I returned home, I called to ask how the dog was, they told me he was still at the vets, there was such a long line, they had to leave him. they would call me when they picked him up. next day they called and told me the bill was $611.00 dollars. I said , I am on social security, I can not afford that much money.however I would be willing to pay half. He told me he had to talk to his wife, and would call me back.I never heard from them again. A month later i received a summons to appear in court, as they were suing me for $752.00 including court costs. We went to the magistrate court, and i brought 20 photos of my dog playing with all the dogs, a letter from a former breeder of rotti's who showed them, telling them that my dog was not an aggressive dog, in fact quite the opposite.my dog is a very family oriented dog, he is around my grandchildren who live else where in another state, he lives with a 1 year old pug. and there is never any problems..never has been, I love my dog so much, I would just die if I had to give him up.well, because of his breed he didn't have a chance.they came in with pictures of the wounds blown up, and claimed my dog bit him on the stomach,( which was a pretty large cut) bear could never have bitten him there, because I grabbed him so fast, and he was face down.(other dog). and the female was on her back face up. so, if he had wounds on the stomach that is where they came from. The female was a Burmese mountain dog (large). also the best friend of the male dog owner. so, I lost.i began paying what i could afford. $8.00 a month. i was under the impression that as long as you were making an attempt to pay, you were with in the law. well, about two months after, a sheriff came to my door and threatened to take my refrigerator and stove if I didn't pay the $ 978.00. they refiled saying, i wasn't paying. so I turned it over to my insurance company. they told me no problem, we will put it in as a property damage claim. well yesterday, I received a letter that, i must remove my dog from the premises by December 27,2008. or I will be canceled. I called all the companies on your list, and because he has a bite history, they will not insure me. I finally found one that wants to charge me $1871.00. I was paying $780.00 I find these outrageous..If you could help me I would be eternally grateful.. sincerely, Diane Pesce

I hope you can help me find a way to continue living in my home and keeping my dog, because he is an important part of my family. I am a senior citizen (68) living alone on social security. I just can not see myself with out my dog.
