I am looking for the artist who sings the a song I remember singing as a kid. Here's what I know:
Lyrics: "Black socks they never get dirty the longer you wear them the stronger they get."
Artist: A Raffi-type new ageish children's folksy singer. (male)
I am 30 years old and I remember listening to this on tape at around age 12.
Any help you could offer would be much appreciated.

1. I Googled the lyrics, got lots of hits but no artist--seems the lyrics are "traditional." |
|
So, it's probably been recorded by at least a few different people.

2. Thanks. I know it's a popular camp song... |

but there was a Raffi-type artist who sang this song a long with a bunch of other similiar kids songs...I am desperately trying to remember the artistis name, but I get the same type of results you got no matter how I search.
I appreciate your effort, maybe one of our other esteemed DUers knows who I am talking about it.
Thanks!
