Seriously, it's eight years old now. It's not funny anymore, and that assumes it ever actually was.

I'm watching the Dolphins-Broncos game, and Chad Pennington threw a pass over his receiver's head (again), and the most clever thing Gumbel could come up with was, "I guess we can call that a 'hanging chad'. Right?"

No. Not just no: HELL NO. Even putting aside the awful presidency of Mr. Bush, that joke is a bigger stretch than the 2,001st time John McCain said, "The fundamentals of our economy are strong". What, is that too old? Fine - it's a bigger stretch than John McCain's chances of winning the election.

This must end.
