Help! Sony laptop with Vista question
So the Verizon guy came out (again) to try to fix our service. My roomies laptop settings were "adjusted" by the tech and she's lost the ability to scroll pages using the touchpad.

Ideas how to correct?

3. Gee, it's too bad you don't know anybody with a Sony laptop running Vista.

If everything worked fine previously with Verizon from her computer, the first thing to do would be to go back to her last system restore point before Verizon guy f'd it up. If that doesn't work, LMK and I'll play around with my settings and see if I can figure it out.

edit: Start button, control panel, mouse, click the function tab, click "use scroll function" then play with the scroll settings as needed.

4. How would I find out when her last system restore was?
It was probably when she bought it.

5. Unless she hosed the settings, it should be every day or two.

But try the thing I edited in first, unless anything else is misbehaving.

If not, System Restore is Start, Help and Support, Backup and Recovery, System Restore. It should show her restore points. While you're in there, if she's that iffy with stuff like this, make her a recovery disk, because Vaios don't ship with one, and I'm guessing she likely either doesn't know how or that she needs one.
