MacBook users. More of your wonderful help please. My MacBook is stuck on "mute".
I don't get any sound when I watch Youtube videos. I've hit the mute button over and over. No result. I've fiddled with the F11 & F12 keys. No luck. When I try to adjust the volume while a video is playing, it shows me the international "Don't" sign (circle w/diagonal crossbar), and that's it.

I don't remember hitting a key I shouldn't have it, or making any adjustments that might cause the 'mute'.

Any ideas?

1. Go to System Preferences
Check your sound settings - and the master volume setting.

2. Did you try going to Apple.com
Just put "unmute" in the search box.. that might help.

Hubby just tried to explain it to me, but it was far to complicated to pass along! lol

Good luck! :hi:

3. 3 options
1. Check your sound preferences to see if your sound output is set to mute.

2. Trash your Macromedia preferences.

3. Check your Audio MIDI Setup in the Utilities folder and confirm Audio Output is set to 44100 Hz.

4. There isn't a problem with your computer.
This is happening because you are losing your mind.
