Election Drinking Game

The task has been put on me to create this years General Election Drinking Game. All of us are liberals so I am trying to make it pro-Obama. I want the Lounge to help me create rules that will help us have fun.

A few ideas:
Every time Obama wins a state take a drink in joy

Every time McCain wins a state take a drink in sorrow

Anytime CNN plays with the magic map, take two drinks

If Obama is called 'transformational' or 'the first African American..." take two drinks

If a race is 'too close to call' take a drink

If the election is decided in Florida, finish your drink and ponder why we fought to take it from Spain

If Wolf Blitzer asks stupid questions to the panel, drink

If Obama wins, switch to champagne

If McCain wins, finish your drink and yell belligerently in the streets.

I'm toying around with a version that involves red-stripe (Repubs), blue-moon (dems), and vodka (pundits), but I think it will kill all of us.

1. Call the county coroner before you start

This one alone:

...would kill you in about 15 minutes.

2. Maybe it should be baby-sip then

Blitzer's capacity for stupid always amazes me.

3. You can easily get blood alcohol poisoning if you do it that much

given how much the pundits repeat their phrases. At best you will pass out halfway through and not wake up until the next morning (with lots of vomiting) and then find out the final outcome.

4. I'm expecting to be around 7 beers into it.

But I'm banking on the election being over early.

5. I believe Blue Moon is a non-union beer. Perhaps Pabst Blue Ribbon is a better choice?

Is there some kind of drinking game to play on Friday night?

11. I think I'd prefer to remember Election Night

rather than completely black out before 8 pm

12. I think it should be a drink each time Obama takes a previously Red State.

And two drinks if Obama takes the one EV in Nebraska, 5 drinks if Obama takes Arizona, 10 drinks if Obama takes Texas.
