Damn, but these shoes are comfortable!

I'm generally not a "shoe person" by any means. A few strappy sandals for spring, summer and fall (this is Florida), athletic shoes for the gym, and two pairs of boots for the winter. That's about it. I was looking for something casual at Ross Dress for Less recently; something that could handle all the urban walking I do, cover the toes for winter, but not get too hot, and I found these for $25:

OK, so they may be seen as butt ugly by some, but man, are they comfortable! Why didn't anyone think of a pull on breathable hybrid athletic shoe/ ballet slipper (or whatever this is) sooner?

2. Oh god, I dispise those things

I guess that they're making more tasteful versions now, but I see hundreds of families wearing hot pink or lime green matching Crocs around the theme park areas. I always wonder if they've ever looked at themselves in those shoes!
