1. I do, my isn't so much curly as wavy. If I put it in a ponytail wet it will form a single curlycue

I did not have to worry about tangles till I hit my mid-forties. For some reason my hair seems to be more inclined to tangle just behind my neck (TMI?).

5. Short hair on you? Might be good :)
But your hairs nice from what pics I've seen of you anyway.

My wife goes between phases of "long" hair and "short" hair. Either way - whatever makes you feel good and boosted and happy is what counts.

I wonder what Rachel Maddow's hair would look like on you. Maybe wrong face-shape but still...

Mark.

14. That's your Halloween wig, silly! Just take it off!

Ha ha kidding, but I did love your costume and honestly I though the 'fro wig looked beautiful on you. Really brought out those gorgeous eyes! I bet if you cut your hair short it would pull the curls nice and tight; be easy-peasy to take care of and look great at the same time. Have you ever had it that short?

between hair and no hair. ;-)

20. My hair is not as curly as it used to be
and never quite so wavy as yours, and I always wanted straight hair instead of curly hair. Straight haired people don't even need to brush their hair after coming in out of the wind and I think that's so cool. Me, I brush my hair and if I'm having a bad cowlick phase you can't even tell I brushed it when I'm done.

Maybe you could try having your hair professionally straightened -- just once -- if you want to chop it off anyway, and see how you like it. I used to use this stuff called 'stick straight' and it seemed to work pretty good. I only quit using it b/c I forgot about it but I am also trying right now to avoid chemicals in my hair and body soaps so I can't go back to it right now.

I think your wavy hair looks awful cute on you, though! It's a curse to you but a blessing to some who wish they had curly hair. Life's a bitch ; )

25. when it is short i don't mind the curl
because it's easy to manage.. basically i get up and go - don't have to do anything to it. when it's long like it is now, it's a mess though.. and when it gets tangled it is a bitch!

23. When I was a teenager, I had mine straightened at a salon....
It was raining that day. I remember running into the house to show my mother my new "straight" hair. She looked at me and said "You didn't go"? Damn those flat hair follicles.

I may let my hair grow back curly eventually, but I'm enjoying the straight hair.

35. You really just need a different way of working with your hair.
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 09:44 PM by Grey
I have long curly locks too and no one can convince me to cut them off. If you like your long curls, KEEP them!!

To take care of the dry and frizz, check out Jessicurl products. I SWEAR by them and can not live without at the very least my Confident Coils solution and Inspiraling Spray. Watch the videos and read the curly hair tips for some good info on how to treat your curls, regardless of which products you use. I do (almost) the full routine and that's how my curls stay bouncy, frizz free, and always drawing compliments.

Good luck! I hope this helps.

<edit:> More seriously, have you ever considered cutting it fairly short? Lots less maintenance -- and it can look really good
