1. Is that also called coriander? |
|
Not sure about that, but I know cilantro = leave it, for me.

|
then it can be nice or not so bad at least. But it's so strong... and so many people seem to not get that.

10. No, it is not coriander. |
|
Coriander is tiny little seed like things you use as a spice with say....yummy baby back ribs.
Cilantro came to us from the Chinese who built the Trans Pacific railroad back in the day. I put it in my green salad as well as cucumber salad, Spanish Rice and burritos.

My cilantro this year went straight to seed for some reason, so I still had to buy cilantro, but I have a ton of coriander now.

Is that something you eat with arugula? I've never had it. It looks like the one triffid in my yard that I don't really have to mow, because it stays rather short.
The rest of the triffids in my yard tower over me and mock me until I knock them down and push my 6.5 HP lawn mower over them. The lawn mower whines and moans while the triffids do the Alien Weed Limbo to avoid being cut.
If that's cilantro, maybe I should take a bite. I'm afraid to though, because it looks like it is spreading a little and may one day thin the taller triffids down. I don't want to jeopardize that. It's pretty though. :D

7. I love it but I don't eat it all the time |
|
The first time I tried it was in some home made salsa and I have loved it ever since. It's even not bad mixed in a salad long as it's got tomatoes in it.

The smell alone makes me ill. The smell of Cilantro, not McCain. Although I would guess McCain would make me ill too.

16. In moderation. Too many people use too much of it. On the subject... |
|
if you do like it, it is easy to grow, in fact it will take over your garden if you let it. We have to weed eat ours to keep in under control.

17. I love it so much I could eat it by itself. |
|
But I don't. I use it in guacamole and other Mexican dishes, and it is also prominent in Vietnamese cooking.

It's that elusive missing flavor in home-made Mexican food. I use it all the time.
