8. But after ALL of this....
ALL the work
ALL the obstacles
ALL the struggle

the very woman who was a huge part of who he's become, and one of his biggest supporters, is not able to actually see this happen.

He is making history tomorrow night - this absolutely BLOWS.

18. It blows that it'll dampen his joy and enthusiasm
But, if I know Barack Obama, he'll also find inspiration in it.

I'm certain she died knowing her grandson was a champion.

16. I like the idea that we choose when our time is
on some deep level, when we're ready, we're ready....

Maybe she's happy knowing the outcome already, and so was ready.

I mean, haven't you had the experience of a friend or relative hanging on until everyone was able to be there?...or going only after everyone had left.... whichever it was, it just felt *right*

I sure have had that kind of experience.

not that I want Obama to be saddened; but maybe he can feel the rightness. ?.

21. That's too bad
I thought she'd make it. Willpower can be an amazing thing, even at such a late stage. My grandmother held on for about a week to make it to her 80th birthday.

I'm sure Obama knew it was coming, but that has to put a damper on his party tomorrow.
