I was in line at the polls (with two excited kids and one who was angry and crabby) about twenty minutes before the doors opened. There were already about 20 people ahead of me. Higher turnout than last time, at least at that hour!

Loaded new music onto my ipod last night, so I was all set. It took me an hour, and the line was bigger than I've ever seen it. All paper ballots with the exception of one electronic machine. Majority of the people were using paper. Of course I loudly announced that I wanted paper so I was sure my vote would actually be counted. I'm so obnoxious. :rofl: It actually got some people laughing out loud and clapping.

I appreciate your enthusiasm in teaching my children about the election process. However, telling my three year old he gets to vote is never a good idea.

14. The slowest part was the lady handing out the ballots in the line I was in

One gentleman was ahead of me in my line (depending on your last name initial) and about 12 people that came in after us and got in different lines were getting their ballots and walking away even before he even got his. Once I got to her she didn't even realize I was standing right in front of her until I said something, then it took her about three minutes to give me mine while she fumbled through the papers, squinting at my driver's license, then the paper, then the license again, then she finally handed me the ballot while three more people walked in and got their ballot in about 40 seconds.
