The Most Important News Story of the Year...and you all missed it.
MillerCoors, citing sales, stops making Zima

MILWAUKEE - MillerCoors LLC says goodbye to Zima.

The joint venture between SABMiller's U.S. unit and Molson Coors Brewing Co. told distributors in a letter Monday that production of the malt liquor beverage was discontinued as of Oct. 10.

Chief Marketing Officer Andy England says the decision was due to weakness in the "malternative" segment and declining consumer interest.

Weakness in the "malternative" segment? Declining consumer interest? SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!

6. Weakness in the market, or weakness in the beverage itself?
'cause doesn't that crap only have like 3% alcohol or something? I could brew something with more alcohol in a day or two. Would probably taste better too.

8. ... which means it has to be monitored by the FDA because it has malt in it
and yet it's a wussy drink, so it doesn't have the market that beer has. And it doesn't even have a flavor of its own, so it doesn't appeal to those who like fruity drinks.
