I'm sitting at my desk fighting tears
Hope is an amazing thing. The emotion is overwhelming. After 8 years of fighting for jobs, healthcare and just trying to survive, I'm about to see it change. We all are.

:)

1. I'm doing the same, lizziegrace.
I'm about to step away from my computer in an attempt to get some work done. I foresee this lasting all of 5 minutes.

But sitting here, I keep swinging from giddy with excitement to nervous to emotional and back in matters of minutes.

4. Good luck with that. ;-)
I pick up projects that require little time and little thought. I know I'm useless today. :)

2. I feel the same way.
I am going back and forth between laughing hysterically and crying. An emotional roller coaster !

3. What a ride, huh?
:)

We're so lucky this man is willing to take on the most important job in this country and lead us out of this mess. And give us hope.

5. I know - My eyes have been welling up all day -
drove three little old ladies to the polls this morning. They were so proud and happy to vote for Obama (and I was so proud and happy to be able to drive them!)

Hang in there lizziegrace - hope is on the way!

:)

6. The emotion has been coming and going in waves.
I woke up anxious, mellowed out through the morning, got worked up again when I went to vote, and then calmed down while I was making my pie (!). Now, as poll closings are coming up, I'm getting a little tight in the throat.

It hasn't really been tension or stress just as much as the exhilaration waiting to break through. I don't want to let things loose until it's really true.
