and I am VERY sad about it. I can't fault the dog for being a dog, or my little num num girl for being a kitten. I have to get back to last minute GOTV, but wanted just to say that Toot has a little kitteh in heaven with her this night.

6. Sorry for your tragic loss. Get a lawyer and get money out of your neighbor. |
|
Nothing can replace Sweet Pea of course, but you can at least get something good out of this.

14. No. He is a boxer who very recently lost his father. He was just being a dog |
|
and it won't help anything. Besides that, I found her in THEIR yard. (but she had been dragged...or drug and there is a hole in the chain link fence.)
It is very tragic.

28. No, that isn't right either. While it is very sad, that can |
|
happen when cats are outside. My friend's dog killed the neighbor's cat and the neighbor threatened to sue, but leash laws apply to cats as well as dogs. Dogs sometimes kill cats, and it is sad. Cats kill animals all of the time. It is in their nature. I don't think cats should be allowed to roam freely while dogs are supposed to be leashed when out. If they do roam freely, the owner is taking a chance that the cat is hurt by another animal or run over. Not to even mention animals that are left to roam around knock up other animals. We have enough stray cats and dogs as is.

I keep wanting to "pay the fine" and get her back. She was such a sweet little thing.
Her mommy keeps looking for her.
But Obama will win, and that's good.

9. Was the dog loose? This is very disturbing. If it was, it could have attacked kids |
|
I am so sorry to hear about your poor kitten.

11. It's sad, and untrained dogs should never be loose, but... |
|
Killing a kitten is entirely different than attacking a kid. Dogs have prey drive. They view cats as prey. I've had dogs that would get beat up by my cats, but they would definitely have killed a cat outside, if given the chance.

30. Absolutely! Just like cats have the drive to kill the animals that they do. |

It is instinct.
My dog Hutch (RIP), killed cats, squirrels, birds, etc. Anything that he could catch in our back yard. It always killed me because I didn't want him to be a killer dog. But he was following his instinct. He was perfectly lovable around kids and also any animals that I welcomed in the house!

16. He dug a hole under neath, and broke the chain link fence. |
|
I will mend the fence (even though it is THEIR fence) so that he can't do it again.
