1. Yes...I was holding off on posting something
I almost posted something a while ago, but thought maybe people might want to enjoy the Obama victory for a while first. But really....the idea that Americans voted tonight to take the standing rights of another group AWAY -- that's just so sad. It's truly the dark cloud in the blue sky today.

2. Well with an Obama White House for 8 years, the Supreme Court will be a better place
Obama better stack that court with the most liberal judges he can find.

9. It's a lot better now
The shitsuckers have gone to their beds of festering boils and stinging insects so they can rise early to hate some more.

4. I feel exactly the same way
I was at the home of one of the members of my local Democratic club here in northern San Diego, and we watched Obama and the excitement of his speech and his appeal to hope and the best in all of us.

I just can't believe that any sane and reasonable person would vote for something like Proposition 8. I have been bothered by seeing the large number of the yellow Yes on 8 signs. I have trashed a few of them myself -- not on anybodies private property, but when they have been by a sidewalk in an area not on the private property of anybody in particular.

One guy in a car stopped after I had done so once and asked why I trashed the sign. I ignored him and he eventually drove away.

It is hard for me not to be consumed by anger and hatred for fundamentalist Christians. I had been a Christian myself once, and found that Christianity and the Christian faith had not been of any help to me in dealing with anything that had been a personal major issue for me. And while I respect most mainstream, non-fundamentalist Christians, I have always had trouble with some of the things that fundamentalist Christians believe and insist on.

6. That really harshes my buzz
Truth to tell, I consider myself a Californian first and a USAmerican second. It really hurts when my state does something so stupid and hateful...

7. All the big counties except San Francisco have reported less than 50 percent
Since more liberals live in the large areas, I've still got a lot of hope.

10. I'm proud of us that we've gotten beyond our racial prejudices
enough to elect a Black president, but I'm sad that we gay people are still considered to be too scary.
